The beginning of the Good Vi₿es project is here. Together with my good friend Joris from Copy To Print, I have started creating a new Good Vi₿es product: a coaster designed to spread a positive vibe. As an artist, I am always inspired by human behavior. With my background in animation, I am constantly observing people, animals, and the way we all interact. My travels have made me appreciate the small details of communication around the world.
Joris and I often brainstorm about how people respond to the new products we create. When I mention I was born in Sneek, people from outside Friesland often call it “Snits” (The Frisian name of Sneek) which always makes me smile.
At first glance, this coaster may seem like an ordinary coaster featuring the iconic POP Waterpoort. However, the fun part is that people often turn over cards or in this case, a coaster to see what’s on the back. Many of us are curious about hidden details. With this idea, we designed the coaster so that when people turn it over, they discover the positive message in Dutch: ‘Always good to see you.’
