Carnival is a big deal in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I’ve experienced it for a few years now, and two years ago, I even made a couple drawings about it in 2023.
One fun part is the dog carnival, where people dress up their dogs in costumes. Naturally, I had to make a drawing of that. 🙂
Then there’s the famous Drag Queen Gala, which has been running for over 25 years. I always like to mention it because it shows how open-minded this place has been — long before the whole “woke” movement became mainstream.
This year, I didn’t make any carnival drawings because I came here to collaborate with my artist friend Alecs and to create new artwork for the Bitcoin Film Festival in Warsaw.
